  • Recommendations to Get the Most from “CATCH THE WAVE: 90 Days to a New Experience with Christ”

    1. Read your Devotional and answer questions at an “appointed” time with God each day.
      2. Let God show you places you should change or repent in your life.
        3. Take notes on each sermon.
          4. Be active in at least 2 small groups for the 90 Days. (Sunday School is a small group. Ask the staff or the Ministry Help Desk about other groups.)
            5. Use the 90 days to identify your spiritual gifts, interests, and talents.
              6. Commit yourself to the ministry that is best for you.
                7. Celebrate the life that God wants for you.

Will There Be Ice?

One modern prophet is the weatherman?  He takes what was revealed to him by the best sources of science he has and makes a prophecy — a forecast.  The current forecast is that we will have ice storms tonight and snow tomorrow.  In a few hours we will know the accuracy of that prophecy, excuse me, forecast.

The Bible contains the record of a multitude of prophecies.  A few were fulfilled in hours.  Many were fulfilled in years, sometimes in centuries.  Several are yet to be fulfilled.  For me, the greatest fulfillment of prophecy is the coming of a promised savior.  The fulfillment of so many prophecies in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection is amazing.

Will the weatherman be right?  Will there be an ice storm?  We will see in a few hours.  Praise God we can experience a savior right now.
