2BC: The Well

Discovering God's Purposes Together

CATCH THE WAVE: 90 Days to a New Experience with Christ (AM Sermon 06-14-09)

1.  Moses was hesitant in catching the wave.

·      God shaped Moses for forty years of service by his early life of 40 years in Egypt and then 40 years in the wilderness.

·      God gave Moses 3 things to help deliver the people:

·      His name to tell the people

·      Miraculous signs to prove God’s power

·      A spokesman to speak for Moses in Moses’ brother Aaron.

·      God’s purposes were fulfilled in Moses’ life.

 2.  Jonah was reluctant in catching the wave.

·      God told Jonah what He planned to do.

·      Jonah ran from God and tried to hide.

·      Jonah finally went to Nineveh as God instructed.

·      After warning Nineveh, Jonah was still reluctant for God to save Nineveh.

 3.  Peter was energized in catching the wave.

·      Peter had been a leader among the twelve.

·      Peter had been changed.

·      Peter spoke after being filled with the Holy Spirit.

·      God demonstrated His power and about 3,000 were added to the number of believers in Christ.
